I would not recommend Stansted Audi to a friend or family member.

This is my review of our purchase of a used Audi Q4 EV.

The garage is modern and well presented.

The garage pulled out all the stops to turn around the car quickly which was appreciated.

That being said I have the following concerns from that purchase:

1) Failed Audi Approved Standards
- Their 200-point check missed critical issues:
- Unsafe tyre with impact damage
- Visible very poor-quality body repairs
- Interior damage (cigarette burns/ash residue/black spray on glass from poor trim repair)
- Evidence of impact damage (misaligned panels, overspray) violating Audi's "no visible repairs" policy

2. Unprofessional Sales Process
- No test drive offered (basic requirement ignored)
- Aggressive finance push despite our cash buyer status
- Misrepresentations (whether intentional or not) regarding car finance benefits
- Misrepresentations about vehicle history

3. Resolution & Response:
- Full refund processed promptly
- Head of Business personally ensuring proper repairs before resale
- Sales rep's apology came across as perfunctory, did not cover all issues raised, and I'm not convinced of his sincerity.
- Further training being provided to the sales rep and FAQs sheet being created for staff
- Senior management took complaint seriously
- Goodwill gesture given

4. Professional Inspections Found:
- Structural filler work risking future paint failure
- Mismatched paint and visible overspray
- Evidence of unreported impact damage

Essential Buyer Advice:
✓ Never skip the test drive
✓ Demand complete inspection reports
✓ Verify "Approved" claims with independent specialist like we did

Final Assessment:
While senior management responded appropriately, the fundamental issues with sales practices and certification failures damage confidence in their Approved program.
