Motor Class Prestige staff were good because they were very polite friendly & responded quickly to my emails & calls.

When I found a car on AutoTrader, I called Motorclass to check if it was still available. The person on the phone was cold and unhelpful, saying, "It's month end, so we're busy." When I asked to book an appointment, he told me just to turn up and if someone was free, they'd help.
I went in on Saturday, hoping the car was still there. No one greeted us when we arrived, and when I found the car, I had to wave to get someone’s attention. The salesperson came over and seemed surprised I didn’t have an appointment, despite me trying to book one the day before. He then reluctantly showed me the car, let me look inside, and even took me for a test drive.
However, during the drive, the salesperson casually mentioned, "I'm not into cars at all. After 30 years, a car’s a car." Not the "premium redefined" service I expected. The car also had a strange squeaking noise, which the salesperson promised to have checked by a specialist garage.
Despite being busy at month-end, the salesperson took a £500 deposit and insisted the car would only be held for a few days. I stressed the need for an inspection before picking it up, but when I tried to follow up, I couldn’t get hold of him for several days. Eventually, he told me the car was booked in for a garage check on Friday but I received no update until 5pm that day. When I pressed for details, the salesperson gave vague answers and kept talking in circles about other garages "just greasing over the squeak."
By the Monday, still no update, and no call back as promised. I was left uncertain about when the car would be ready and whether the issue would be resolved. Weeks elapsed without any updates, and the uncertainty had me looking into retrieving my deposit and exploring other cars. I even asked for an extended warranty as goodwill for all the delays, but the salesperson brushed it off and even suggested they could just sell the car at auction instead.
When I finally heard back about the car being ready, a full 30 days had passed, and the finance agreement had expired. I had to go through all the documents again, ID checks, and sign everything again. I ended up with two hard searches on my credit report, feeling disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience at Motorclass.
They did offer a 12-month warranty as compensation, but it didn’t quite take the sting away.
As a self-proclaimed premium garage, they should decide whether or not people can/should book, work on some kind of welcome, employ representatives who are enthused about cars, have the vehicles checked prior to showing them, and be crystal clear about when the car will be ready to collect. Perhaps a happy handover would be a nice end.

I had a great experience at Motor Class Prestige because they got a range of premium cars which are sporty and classy.
