Even though our car was a low mileage vehicle
We have just had solar panels and battery storage fitted.
A electric vehicle was a no brainier.
We were going to purchase a Volkswagen ID3 which due to the terrible dealership JCB at Ashford became a complete nightmare.
I looked on google and saw that the Renault 5 E was car of the year 2025 and that Hendy Tunbridge Wells had a lovely low mileage iconic 5 in metallic black with red decal.
We booked a test drive with a really nice young salesman James Monkman.
What we liked most about James was that we were not pushed in to purchasing the car or any of the extras on offer.
We had to wait for our existing vehicles V5c to come back from the DVLA after the JCB Volkswagen nightmare.
It came on the Monday and we collected the R5 on the Thursday.
Just one problem with the charging lead but that was soon solved.
We are very pleased with our car.

The staff at Hendy Renault Dacia Tunbridge Wells were good. James W phoned me after my online enquiry and I was able to view the vehicle the next day. He offered me a test drive and because the car had only just come in, apologised and explained that it hadn’t been cleaned or prepared for showing.
James kept me informed about the preparation of the car and was always friendly and knowledgeable.
Really disappointed that my local Hendy at Eastbourne has closed, but the showroom at Tunbridge Wells is easy to find.
