I would not recommend Group 1 Volkswagen Peterborough because salesperson lacked knowledge of how to do a disabled V5 tax change despite having a Motability salesperson in the showroom and we had to find the information out from him ourselves. V5 was not available in the garage on handover day. Made excuses about a third party company doing the employment car scheme they did not ask for it early enough due to the bank holiday. This resulted in me having to pay £25 for the v62 fee, which I have yet to have refunded to me. The salesperson should have paid this and had it refunded to him as he works there and it would have been up to him not me to chase it with their finance. Cleanliness of vehicle. It looked lovely and shiny and clean, but there was a big patch of sticky stuff under the cup holder mat next to the handbrake as if the previous person had had drink spilt in there and the Valet team didn’t look closely enough and didn’t clean it off.

From the very first contact with Group 1 Peterborough via their website to the handover of my new car it was faultless. My salesman was Dil who I cannot recommend enough, he explained everything, sent numerous videos of several cars as I was 3 hours drive away, nothing was to much trouble to Dil.
The car I wanted had been reserved earlier that day, but Dil managed to get me a crazy good deal for another car at the branch, a deal I couldn’t turn down and glad I didn’t. New Golf R Black edition is stunning and it’s all down to the hard work of Dil, thanks for the brilliant service Group 1.
