Group 1 Assured Ipswich

Drove 2 hours to collect a car from these guys so I had lots of prior questions to ask! They were all answered in a timely manner and I even got sent a video of the car. However I wasn’t offered a test drive on that weekend as the car hadn’t had a check over which was fair enough. I also part exchanged two cars, they gave me a fair price for the two which I appreciate. Thank you

Really pleased. However, I'm going to point out the vehicle should really of had an oil change prior to me picking it up. It was serviced at 91k and had 99k when picked up! But other than that really pleased

The car broke down during the test drive with a faulty in the petrol part of the hybrid system. It was evident that no proper mechanical inspection had been performed. I drove 70 miles to view this car based on Jason's misleading description. This resulted in a waste of time and money, and more concerningly, posed a serious safety risk by allowing me to test drive a faulty vehicle. After a mechanic cleared the initial fault code, Jason had me test drive it again—only for the same fault to reappear. The on-site mechanic even admitted he had no experience with BMW i3s and had never driven one. While such issues can occur, I expected additional due diligence given my long-distance travel and pre-arranged financing. My experience with Group 1 Assured has caused financial loss, wasted my time, and exposed me to health and safety risks. I frequently provide recommendations, but in this case, I will advise others to avoid this dealership. I will also be adding this review to google and auto trader

The experience at Group 1 Assured Ipswich was good because they prepared the vehicle and sent me a video, the sale wasn’t pushy.

My experience at Group 1 Assured Ipswich could have been better because the car I purchased has had a couple of faults, one of which was advised at test drive and the other, wouldn't have happened if a full service had been done prior to collection, rather than just an basic oil and filter service. I emailed Liam, after he had chased me to complete this feedback form to advise of issues and have no reply or contact from Liam since. I then looked to use the warranty I was sold by calling Group 1 Assured, initially contacting RAC who advised me to contact the dealership who sold me the car as first point of call. Spoke to Phil which the garage/workshop at Group 1 Ipswich, explained the situation and he simply replied without any hesitation or empathy, 'We cannot help you, you need to contact a Vauxhall dealer/garage'. This is despite me making to clear the car had been bought from them just 14 days before. Basically, I feel that having sold the car to me and also tried to promote a special offer on MOT/Service for 12 months time (strange the workshop can do that but then won't repair a faulty car that was sold to me), having been told there was a fault, they don't care anymore. Really disappointed with the post sales experience and lack of interest from the dealership when something has gone wrong within a short time period.
In addition, appears the interior of the car was not valeted before collection or if it was, they missed the parking ticket tucked in the windscreen, a pen in the passenger door and also a stone the size of a golf ball, between the drivers seat and console (right beside where the seat belt clicks in, so not that hidden).
