My experience at Bristol Street Motors Peugeot Barnstaple could have been better for a few reasons 1. When we collected the car we noticed on the log book that there were 2 previous owners - we were originally told there had been 1 previous owner. If i have known there had been 2 previous owners I would reconsidered purchasing the car. I would like to add this was not pointed out to us at any point it was only discussed because we noticed this. 2. When we were going through our paperwork after the purchase we noticed the V5 document was in the folder we were given when i emailed BSM to ask why this had not been sent to DVLA i was told to either drive to the showroom ( 15 miles each way ) and drop it off and they would complete and send it to DVLA or i could do this myself. I find this unacceptable i am currently going through chemotherapy and to be honest i had to look on the internet on how to do this this is not something i want or should be doing. 3. We came to BSM through a referral from a friend - we told the sales advisor of this and gave him the names and reg of the car they purchased from you 3 times the final time on the day we collected our car, as we were led to understand that they would receive a £50 referral payment - a month has now gone by and they have never heard from BSM about this payment. 4. We took out an extended warranty on our new car for 3 years - when we read through the paperwork we decided to cancel this as because i have cancer i wanted my family to be able to sell the car when the time came with this warranty but the paperwork stated it was doubtful this would be possible. We contacted the warranty company who were very helpful indeed and gave us the email address so we could put this in writing, which we did and within the hour they copied me into an email they had sent to BSM advising the had returned our money to them for the policy and to reimburse us. After a week i chased BSM as i had heard nothing and was asked to send a document showing the bank details to where the funds were to be paid i did this within the hour ( Monday ) it is now Wednesday and i have heard nothing again and have now emailed chasing this payment again - i should not have to do this it is totally unacceptable. i would appreciate some feed back on the above points
