Driving Digital 2021

On September 8, the NFDA will be welcoming dealers and other automotive industry spokespeople from across the country to Driving Digital.

The event which has been happening on an annual basis for the last decade, helps towards enabling dealers to move forward as they progress through digitalisation of the market.

This year's theme is “Go digital, go green, go faster” to reflect how the change of pace towards a digital market has accelerated, partly attributed to the pandemic.

Driving Digital will be held at Villa Park, and there are some fantastic speakers too.

Recently, whilst visiting the venue, I noticed a few things which made me think and reflect upon the year we have had since March 2020.

Last time we went to the event, Aston Villa, the football club who play at Villa Park, were in the Championship and were struggling. Now, they are arguably top half contenders in the Premier League and are sponsored by Cazoo.

Cazoo are the well-funded, online car purchase site, currently doing their utmost to penetrate the used car market. You could argue that Cazoo are not a friend of the franchised dealer.

Despite this, the benefit of a competitor is that they encourage the other players to learn, improve and do better.

So, it’s a perfect circle that we’re going to be at Driving Digital, to share with dealers how to improve their business by adapting to an ever-changing market, in a venue sponsored by a company who has become a leading figure in that particular area of the industry.

Getting together

When we arrived to check the venue for this years’ event, we were able to briefly walk alongside the edge of football pitch. It was a brilliant perspective of the ground, but you really felt the absence of the fans.

Driving Digital 2021 will be the first live event the NFDA have held since before the pandemic and we’re really looking forward to getting together with people from our industry in a face-to-face environment.

It will be a fantastic opportunity to gather new insights and network with peers before the AM awards at the ICC in the evening.

We can’t wait to see you there! Book your tickets today!
