• Seriously annoyed - Mill Volvo in Knaresborough have just stiffed me for £534 for a major but routine service (35,000 miles). Top dollar on oil, filters etc (as ever with a main dealer), but the real downer is a labour charge of £98 per hour plus VAT (so a whisker shy of 120 quid an hour!). One hour was consumed changing two sidelight bulbs, one fuse and cleaning the windscreen and wiper blades! What made it worse was discovering that, to sustain the vehicle warranty these days, any VAT registered garage can do the job. Hate that ripped off feeling (mitigated only by this post and hopefully others being warned)
